These mandatory measures, combined with the homeowners’ site specific selection of voluntary measures, come together to create a sustainable and energy efficient home with a point value. The points are based on a consistent and recognized point based system through Build It Green.

What are the benefits to my Client?
Green Point Rated provides a simple and sustainable approach to building healthier and more efficient homes at a cost that’s attractive to your client. It gives them the opportunity to make a conscious contribution to reducing their carbon footprint and preserving resources for future generations. Your client will also have a Third Party Verified Certification that will aid in the eventual resale of their home.

What are the benefits of incorporating Green Point Rated into my Business?
Green Point Rating enables you to differentiate yourself from your competition by utilizing a recognized consumer label to highlight your green building expertise.

What are the costs involved in Certification?
The combination of application and certification fee to Build It Green is $450 per single family home. Basic consulting and 3rd party rating fees are $1,500 and typically do not exceed $2,500.
